  • New

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

    2 Corinthians 5:17

Some people have a hard time letting go of their past. Mistakes they made, wrong turns they took. But it’s time to let it go. Let the past rest in the past, and focus instead on today and on the future and on living for God now. It doesn’t matter what mistakes you made in the past, if you repent and ask God to forgive you and move forward, He will forgive you and wipe the slate clean. As new year’s rolls around each year people make resolutions, but some don’t even try because they are afraid of failing. Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from trying – God will always be there to help you back up again whenever you do fail! So rejoice in knowing you aren’t on your own. God is with you, and has made all things new with you through Jesus Christ.

  • The good ol’days

Don’t long for “the good old days.”
          This is not wise.

    Ecclesiastes 7:10

Don’t spend your time longing for the good old days. Instead, focus on making TODAY good. Today is a gift from the Lord – a day that God has given you to live here on the earth for a reason! So rejoice in knowing that God has plans for you today and every day, plans to see you succeed and prosper. So don’t long for the past, but rejoice in the future!

  • Afraid

He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.

    Psalm 91:4-5

Have you ever had one of those bad days where everything goes wrong? I had one of those days today. Sick, on the way to the doctor, and I have a flat tire. But the Lord was there to help me. He sent 2 strangers to change my tire, and a friend to take me to the doctor. It all worked out in the end. And no matter what problems you encounter, the Lord will help you solve the problems. So don’t be afraid, but have peace in knowing the Lord is watching over you, your shelter, your protection, and He will provide!

  • Don’t be sad!

“Don’t be sad! This is a special day for the LORD, and he will make you happy and strong.”

    Nehemiah 8:10 (CEV)

Don’t be sad or discouraged about whatever it is that is bothering you. Instead, rejoice in knowing that the Lord is with you and will give you the strength you need to accomplish anything. So don’t let the bad days get you down, but know that there are good days ahead of you and the Lord will make you strong enough to get through the bad days so that you can make it to the good days and rejoice!

  • The Center

That’s why my cup is running over. This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while I slip off to the sidelines.

    John 3:30

So often we let ourselves slip into the center of our lives, instead of making God the center. We should always make God the center of everything in our lives, remembering that our life is all about Him and NOT all about ourself. We live for Him. He is our purpose…the reason we are here. So keep HIM in the center, and yourself on the sidelines, and then you will truly be wise.

  • Praising God

“The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”

     Luke 2:20

We should praise and glorify God just as the shepherds did. For God has blessed us with salvation. We spend so much time asking God for help with different problems that sometimes we forget to thank Him for the many blessings He’s given us. Don’t take your blessings for granted. Thank God. Praise Him. Glorify Him. For He is worthy to be praise and adored!

  • Saved

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.

    Matthew 1:21

It’s so amazing that God, creator of heaven and earth, sent His son, Jesus, down to the earth to die for OUR sins so that WE would be free from judgement of the sin that so easily entangles us. His grace and mercy and love for us is so much greater than we can even imagine. Take a minute to thank Jesus today for dying for you and giving you salvation…it’s because of Him, you are SAVED!!!

  • God with us

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

    Matthew 1:23

Immanuel; God with us. God sent Jesus to be born on the earth and grow up and live among us lowly humans – the prince of peace and Lord of Lords, born in a manger! And He died for our sins. So that we could spend eternity with Him in heaven. I am constantly amazed by this – God’s great love for us. Even though we are so undeserving, He loves us anyway…loves us so much he died for us. Don’t forget that. He LOVES YOU. He DIED for YOU! He is WITH YOU.

  • Trust

Just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him too, for each day’s problem’s, live in vital union with Him.

    Colossians 2:6

Problems happen, it’s just part of living on the earth. But instead of feeling stressed out or overwhelmed when problems arise, have peace in knowing that no matter what your problem is, not matter how big or how small, God will help you solve it. Trust in Him. Knowing that you don’t have to solve any problem alone, God will always be there to help you, if you only give your problems to Him. Go before Him in prayer and ask Him for help with whatever problems you’re faced with today and trust in Him knowing He will help you today, and every day.

  • God made man

Then the Lord God made man from the dust of the ground. And He breathed into his nose the breath of life. Man became a living being.

    Genesis 2:7

God created you. God has plans for you, plans to see you prosper. He gave you life, gave you breath. There is a reason that you’re here today. God has a purpose for your being here, a plan. So rejoice in knowing that God, creator of heaven and earth, also created you and has wonderful plans for you and loves you, his magnificent creation!
