When the whole wide world is still asleep…
I think about you
before I go to sleep,
and my thoughts turn to you
during the night.
You have helped me,
and I sing happy songs
in the shadow of your wings.
Psalm 63:6-7
It’s such a comfort to know that even during those dark quiet hours in the middle of the night when we wake and the rest of the world seems asleep that God is always awake and always with us. We are never alone. God is always there and listening to us. So the next time you wake in the middle of the night, remember you’re not alone, God is with you…so talk to Him. Tell Him what’s on your mind. What’s troubling you? What are you happy about? What are you needing wisdom and direction for? Talk to God as if He were right there in the room with you – because He is.
