  • Keep on asking!

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

    Luke 11:9 (New Living Translation)

Sometimes we pray about something and don’t get an answer immediately. Don’t give up! Keep on praying. Keep on seeking. Keep on knocking until that door is open! And trust God knowing that His timing and plans for us are SO much better than our own. So don’t get frustrated when things don’t happen right when you want them too, but trust in God knowing that things will work out if and when they are supposed to. And if things DON’T work out the way you planned, then rejoice knowing that God has even better plans for you!

  • Need guidance?

But before you do anything, ask God for guidance.

    1 Kings 22:5 (The Message)

We should turn to the Lord for guidance on everything. Not just the big things, but even the small things. We should pray about EVERYTHING going on in our life. Every decision that we have to make we should pray about first, no matter how small the choice may seem, every choice we make makes a difference in our life…so pray about it…pray about everything…ask God for guidance..and He will lead you through the doors you’re supposed to go through.

  • He counts the stars and calls them all by name

He counts the stars and calls them all by name.

    Psalm 147:4

There are more than millions of stars. That same God who named each star, also knows you….BY NAME! Sometimes when I sit in traffic and see all the cars and people in them I think of how God knows who each person is and everything about them. And loves each and every one of us as His own child! How amazing is that!

  • What’s troubling you?

A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;(Ps 34:19)

Are you going through a time of trouble? Maybe even MANY troubles. Whatever is troubling you, pray about it, and ask the Lord for help.
Knowing He WILL help you, for there is NO trouble that God can’t solve and help you solve. So whatever it is you’re worrying about today, stop worrying, and surrender it to the Lord. Place your troubles in HIS hands, for there’s no one better to handle your troubles then our heavenly father, who loves you like his own son/daughter.

  • The ocean is roaring…

    The ocean is roaring, LORD!

       The sea is pounding hard.

        Its mighty waves are majestic,

       but you are more majestic,

       and you rule over all.

    Psalm 93:3-4

I always feel so close to God when I am by the ocean, or on top of a mountain, or looking at the night sky filled with stars…thinking how majestic is God’s creation…and how much MORE majestic is HE, the CREATOR!!! And to think that He is SO MIGHTY and MAJESTIC, and yet He LOVES US. We are so small, and He is so big and great, and yet He loves us. Not because we’re worthy of his love, because we aren’t. We are so unworthy, and yet He loves us anyway, simply because He chooses to. His love isn’t based on anything we’ve done. He loves us simply because He chooses to. He created you, and has plans for you and loves you more than you can even imagine. So the next time you see the ocean, or a sunrise or sunset or the beautiful stars, be reminded of how God created them..and you..and He loves you.

  • Don’t just pretend…

Don’t just pretend that you love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

    Romans 12:9-10  (New Living Translation)

It’s easy to PRETEND to love other’s. It’s easy to SAY that you love someone, but they can tell if you truly mean it or not by your ACTIONS. If you act selfish and demand your own way all the time, putting yourself first, they’re going to see that you love yourself the most. But if you act SELFLESS instead of SELFISH, putting other’s needs above your own and serving other’s first, putting yourself last…then they’re going to see that you really mean it when you say that you love them. So show someone you love them today – by your actions. The old saying “Actions speak louder than words” is really true.

  • Forgive anyone who offends you

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

    Colossians 3:13 (New Living Translation)

Everyone has faults. There isn’t a perfect human on the earth. There will be times people WILL offend you, and when that happens, we need to forgive them. Because God has forgiven us. Even though we don’t deserve it, He sent His son to die for us so that He could take the blame for our sins and we could be forgiven. Don’t take that for granted. And out of thanks for that, the least we can do is forgive other people when they offend us.

  • The same when you are old and gray

I will still be the same when you are old and gray, and I will take care of you. I created you. I will carry you and always keep you safe.

    Isaiah 46:4

It’s such a comfort to know that God is ALWAYS going to be there for us, carrying us…no matter how old we are we will always be His children and need His help, and He will never leave or forsake us. He’ll be there for us forever, taking care of us each day that we live hear on the earth. So remember…you’re never alone.

  • Discouraged or restless?

    Why am I discouraged?
       Why am I restless?
       I trust you!
And I will praise you again
       because you help me,
       and you are my God.

    Psalm 42:11

Is there something that you are discouraged or restless about? Something you want to happen that just isn’t happening? Instead of being frustrated or discouraged about it, trust in God and pray about it. And know that God is always there, helping you, and loves you more than you can even imagine and cares about whatever it is that you’re discouraged about…God really does care and wants the best for you..so trust Him with every area of you and your life…because He IS God and WILL help you.

  • Plans go wrong…

    Plans go wrong for lack of advice;
          many advisers bring success.

    Prov 15:22

The times that we DON’T want advice are often the times that we need advice the MOST. Sometimes are friends and family can see things in situations that we ourselves can’t. So find some people you trust and look up to and ask them for advice on a regular basis – it doesn’t mean you have to do everything they say, but at least listen and pray about it. The Lord can use other people to speak to us sometimes when we need to hear it the most.
