Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
Ephesians 4:29 (New Living Translation)Nowadays most of the language we hear is foul and abusive. We as christians need to stand out and go against the flow by watching the way we speak and not using foul or abusive language. We should try to speak words of encouragement that will truly lift someone up and help build them up, not tare them down or make fun of them. So really think carefully before you speak and choose your words wisely. Would someone listening to you be able to tell you’re a christian, or do you blend into the world and speak just like them?
