  • Broken Hearted?

    The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

    Psalm 34:18

We are bound to have our heart broken at least once during our life, if not multiple times. It’s such a comfort knowing that God is always close by to us ready to rescue us whenever our spirits our crushed, He lifts our spirit and puts our broken hearts back together again and makes them even stronger than before! So if you’re in the midst of a broken heart, remember, God is there to put the pieces back together again. You are not alone!

  • Instead…

  • Thank God!

    You should praise the LORD

       for his love

       and for the wonderful things

he does for all of us.

    PS 107:8 CEV

God has blessed each of us SOOO much more than we can even imagine. Yet most of us spend far more time asking Him for things then we do thanking Him. Today, take a moment just to thank the Lord for all the blessings in your life. The greatest of all being the gift of eternal life through Jesus dying on the cross for us!

  • The bigger the ego, the…

    First pride, then the crash—
the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.

    Proverbs 16:18

Pride goes before the fall – it really is true! The moment we start to feel proud about something that’s usually right before we fall flat on our face. Remember, we are all created equally and loved equally by God, so we should never consider ourself better than anyone else. We are all the same! The moment you start to feel proud or better than anyone, remember to think twice - or you just might fall!

  • Who is truly reliable?

Many will say they are loyal friends,
but who can find one who is truly reliable?

    Proverbs 20:4-6

It’s easy to say you are someone’s friend. But they can tell if you really are or not by your actions. Are you reliable? Do you stand by your word? Can your friends depend on you? Or do you constantly back out on them because you’re too busy or have “better things” to do? Helping out a friend in need shows them that you truly care. And always being there for someone, through the good times AND the bad. It’s in the bad times, that you learn who your loyal friends are and who is really reliable.

  • It makes a lot of sense to…

It makes a lot of sense to be a person of few words and to stay calm.

    Proverbs 17:27

Sometimes, especially when angry, it’s easy to just spew out whatever we’re thinking right as we’re thinking it instead of thinking first on if we should actually say what we’re thinking or not. Every thought we have should NOT be shared, as that could cause a lot of trouble in the end. Hold your tongue, say few words, and you will stay much calmer than if you spew out everything.

  • Let Him Lead

    With all your heart
       you must trust the LORD
       and not your own judgment.
        Always let him lead you,
and he will clear the road
       for you to follow.

    Proverbs 3:5-6

Sometimes we’ll go through things in life that we aren’t sure why we’re going through. But instead of trusting our own judgement, trust in the Lord, knowing that He WILL clear the road for you to follow, even when things seem confusing and you can’t see straight ahead of you – God can – and will – lead you where you’re supposed to go, all you have to do is give yourself to Him and LET HIM LEAD.

  • It’s criminal to…

It’s criminal to ignore a neighbor in need,
but compassion for the poor—what a blessing!

    Proverbs 14:21

Most of us are blessed with more than we need. More clothes, more food, just more in general than we really need. Yet there are so many people out there who have a great need. Who don’t get enough to eat or don’t have many clothes or much at all. The least those of us that are blessed with more than we need can do is to share the extra we have with those that are need. For it truly is a blessing to bless other’s!

  • Blind path?

I will lead the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths they do not know. I will turn darkness into light in front of them. And I will make the bad places smooth. These are the things I will do and I will not leave them.

    Isaiah 42:16 (New Life Version)

Sometimes in life we’re faced with problems where we feel lost or blind as to what to do. Whenever you’re faced with a problem like that, remember that God is with you, your guide. Whenever the future seems unclear and you are blind to the path before you, reach out your hand to God and let Him guide you – for He is ALWAYS right there beside you, ready to be your guide.

  • Careful words make for a careful life

    Careful words make for a careful life;
       careless talk may ruin everything.

    Proverbs 13:3

I’m sure we’ve all said things we regret. But if that’s something you struggle with on a daily basis, I encourage you to post a verse like Proverbs 13:3 somewhere that you can see it every day as a reminder. Choosing your words carefully and really thinking before you speak will save you from a lot of grief in the end!
