  • Broken Promises

It's better not to make a promise at all than to make one and not keep it.

    Ecclesiastes 5:5

Sometimes people have a hard time saying no when someone asks for help or asks you to do something. While it's good to help people, you have to say no sometimes, otherwise you would spend some much time busy helping people that you wouldn't have any time left for God or your family. It's better to tell someone no right away rather then tell them you will and then not. Don't make a promise you know you won't keep.

  • He hears you cry

He hears their cries for help and rescues them.

    Psalm 145:18-19

Have you ever prayed and wondered, is God listening? Yes. Know that he IS listening, that He's ALWAYS listening. He hears EVERY prayer. Every cry. Every tear you shed he see's and cares about. He cares so much more for you than you can even imagine. So whatever it is that you're worried about today, cry out to the Lord in prayer, give your worries to Him, knowing that He DOES hear you and He WILL rescue you.

  • Pray for those who hurt you

Pray for those who hurt you.
    Luke 6:28  (New Living Translation)

When someone hurts us, sometimes we want to hurt them back, or to run away from them and never talk to them again. Instead, we should PRAY for them. And if you're having a hard time forgiving them, ask the Lord to help you forgive them, and to remind you to pray for them. There is POWER in prayer!!! And remember, God has forgiven us, so we should try our best to forgive others as well, out of thanks and respect for God's forgiveness to us.

  • The key to happiness

7 Those who show loving-kindness are happy, because they will have loving-kindness shown to them.

    Matthew 5:7

If we respond in loving-kindness to everyone, more often then not people are going to respond in the same way. And those that don't, those are the people that need loving-kindness showed to them the most. Respond to cruelty in loving-kindness and it's going to shock that person and make them wonder why you are being so nice to them. It let's them see a glimpse of God in you. Because God shows us loving-kindness, even when we don't deserve it. So show other people loving-kindess, ESPECIALLY when they don't deserve it, and it'll let them see God in you.

  • God is near to us

    Our God, we thank you
for being so near to us!
       Everyone celebrates
       your wonderful deeds.
    Psalm 75:1(cev)

It's such a comfort knowing God is always right beside us. With us all through out every day and every night that we live here on the earth. You are never alone. The next time you wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep, remember, God's awake too, He never sleeps...talk to Him. When you're stuck in traffic on the way to and from work alone in the car...remember, you're not really alone. God is with you. Talk to Him. Take some time to today to talk to God and to thank Him for always being so near to you.

  • We are a work in progress

He has made everything beautiful in its time
    Eccles 3:11

We are each a work in progress. God is constantly molding, shaping and chisling us every day that we live here on the earth. If you ever feel like you're incomplete it's because you are, God is still working on you and isn't finished with you yet - he has a purpose for you, a plan to make you beautiful in the special way that He created you just for. A purpose and a plan just especially created for you. Remember - He's not through with you yet!

  • Cry out and be delivered

    To You they cried out and were delivered;
In You they trusted and were not disappointed.
Psalm 22:5 (New American Standard Bible)

Have you been praying about something for a long time and not had an answer yet? Keep on praying. Don't give up, but keep crying out to the Lord.
Trust in Him, knowing that He has a plan and He will help you through out each and every problem that you're faced with. Trust in Him - you can do ALL things through Christ - so keep on crying out before Him, never stop praying - never stop trusting - and you won't be disappointed.

  • Love your enemies

But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. ... If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
    Matthew 5:44,46-47 New International Version

It's easy to love people we get along with. MUCH more difficult to love those that get under our skin. But when we do that, when we love those people who are really unloveable, it lets them see God in us. Because that's the way that God loves us...unconditionally. He loves us each even though we don't deserve His love. He loves us despite knowing every single one of our sins, every single one of our many flaws...God loves us anyways. And when we love people in that same unconditional way, it lets them see God in us. So I encourage you today, love someone that is unlovable. Let them see God's love in you.

  • Be still

“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”

    Psalm 46:10

We all live such busy lives, there's so many things in our daily schedules that sometimes many of us hardly ever take the time to simply be still in the presence of God. To honor Him. It's such an important part of our walk with the Lord to spend time with him. In prayer, in worship, in the bible...and in being still. Take some time today to simply be still in the presence of God, and you won't regret it!

  • Make our faith stronger

The apostles said to the Lord, "Make our faith stronger!"

    Luke 17.5

If you've ever wanted an increase of faith, follow the apostles example, ask the Lord to make your faith stronger. God isn't playing hide and seek with you, He WANTS you to find him, to spend time with Him, to grow closer to Him each day. But with our busy daily schedules sometimes we don't spend as much time with Him as we should. If you struggle with spending daily time with the Lord, pray and ask the Lord to increase your faith and your desire to spend more time with Him. He'll give you a nudge and remind you each day - just ask Him!
