  • Every fool is quick to quarrel

It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.

    Proverbs 20:3

Have you ever met one of those people that always wanted to pick a fight? Want to argue about every little thing? I think sometimes we've all had our moments of foolishness where we fight about something that really doesn't matter. And even the things that do matter, there are other ways to go about it instead of fighting. Really talking to someone and truly listening to them and respecting their views even when you don't agree with them, is a much better way to go about things. Be wise. Hold your tongue. Don't be quick to quarrel, like a fool.

  • Our safe leader

You're my cave to hide in,
    my cliff to climb.
    Be my safe leader,
    be my true mountain guide.
    Free me from hidden traps;
... I want to hide in you.
I've put my life in your hands.
    You won't drop me,
    you'll never let me down.
    Psalm 31:4-5
    The Message (MSG)

It's such a comfort knowing that God is our safe leader. Our guide through out every day that we live here in the earth. We don't live a single day alone. God is always there. Our safe leader. Mountain guide through the mountains we have to climb in life. Our hiding place in times of trouble, our help in times of need. Our leader. Follow Him. You won't be dropped or let down.

  • For Him

Let no one show little respect for you because you are young. Show other Christians how to live by your life. They should be able to follow you in the way you talk and in what you do. Show them how to live in faith and in love and in holy living.
1 Timothy 4:12 (New Life Version)

It doesn't matter how young or old you are, you can be an example to other's by the way that you live. Let other's see that you don't do go with the flow with the ways of the world but you are different. Different because you live not for yourself, but for Christ.
Our purpose on this earth is to know Him and make Him known. Not to live for ourself, but to live for Him. Show other's how to live, by living for Him.

  • Forgetting the past

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[a] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

    Philippians 3:13-14

We have all done things in the past that we regret. But the important thing is to ask for forgiveness and then press on, moving forward. Letting the past rest in the past and not constantly keep digging it back up or dwelling on it. Move forward. Focus on living your life for God NOW and don't worry about all the mistakes you've made in the past. Once you've asked God for forgiveness, move on. God's forgiven you, but have you forgiven yourself?

  • Arguments

An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city.
Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars.

    Proverbs 18:19

It's easy to be offended and to argue. But that can separate even the best of friends! So the next time you find yourself in the middle of an argument take a step back and ask yourself, is this really worth losing a friendship over? And what are your motives? Are they good and Godly, or selfish? Are you glorifying God by your words and actions or glorifying yourself?

  • Only God...

Only God gives inward peace, and I depend on him.

    Psalm 62:5

When we try to depend on ourself instead of depending on God, that's when we stress out and are filled with anxiety and worry and fear of failure. But when we depend on GOD, that's when we're filled with his PEACE, that passes all understanding. God can give you peace in situations where you would normally never have peace.  God can give you peace no matter how big your problem is. So depend on HIM. And you won't regret it.

  • What is both stupid and rude? Here's what the bible says...

    Answering before listening
       is both stupid and rude.

    Proverbs 18:13

Ouch. I'm sure we've all been guilty of this before...interrupting someone before we even finish listening to what they're saying. Especially when angry...this will cause much more trouble instead of good. We should always take the time to listen to what someone is saying before replying. Don't be both stupid and rude - don't interrupt. Listen. Show someone you really care about them and respect what they're saying, even if you don't agree with them. Listen. Hold your tongue and wait for the appropriate time to speak. This will give you more time to choose your words wisely, which in the end, will be much better anyway...rather then spewing out the first word that pops in your head. Be wise... Listen.

  • Be glad

This day belongs to the LORD!
       Let's celebrate
       and be glad today.

     Psalm 118:24 (Contemporary English Version)

Every day that you live here on the earth has purpose. God placed you on this earth for a reason. He created you, and has greater plans for you then you can even imagine. There will be days that you wonder, why am I here? Remember, you're here because HE wants you here. He placed you here. Every day. Each and every day He has you hear for a reason. Some days will be good for you, and some days bad. But we should thank God for each and every day, that we're allowed to live for Him. To be an example of His love for other's living on this earth so that they might catch a glimpse of Him in us. So be glad. celebrate! Today belongs to the LORD. YOU belong to the Lord. And He has you here today for a good reason. God, creator of heaven and earth, has you here today because He has plans for you. So rejoice and be glad!

  • Quarrels and fights

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? 2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them.
    James 4:1-2

Quarrels and fights are usually caused by selfishness. Jealousy, envy, greed...all lead to no good. If you find yourself in the middle of a fight, take a step back and ask yourself, what are my motives here? Am I being selfish, or selfless? Am I thinking about what I want and not about the other person at all? Am I letting the other person see God in me, or am I being selfish and letting the evil with in me take over? The next time you're in a quarrel try to take a step back and think and pray about things. Ask the Lord to guide you and what you say to the other person. Ask God what would glorify Him in the situation. And also confide in fellow christians that can give you wisdom in the situation. Sometimes are friends and family can see things that we can't in situations.

  • His Love Never Fails

    The Lord is merciful!
    He is kind and patient,
    and his love never fails.
    Psalm 103:8

His love NEVER FAILS. How amazing is that? Though we fail so many times, He loves us with an unfailing love. An unconditional love. His love isn't based on anything we've done to deserve it. We DON'T deserve it...but He chooses to love us anyway..despite our many faults. His love NEVER fails. People come and go in our lives. But God will always be there for us, will never leave us. Will never stop loving us. No matter how much we fail or disappoint Him, He is still going to love us and be there for us. I'm constantly amazed by that, How strong his love is for me, for you...for all of us. He loves us as his own children. So if you're feeling unlovable, remember, you ARE loved. And you always will be.
