  • Plans

The mind of a man plans his way, but the Lord shows him what to do.

    Proverbs 16:9

We all make plans for ourselves…and sometimes things don’t always turn out the way that we plan. But whenever that happens instead of being upset that things didn’t work out the way that we plan, we should rejoice in knowing that God has even better plans for us, and He will show us what to do. So trust in God, and know that He’ll lead you where to go when your plans don’t work out, and things will work out better HIS way.

  • Trust

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

    1 Timothy 6:17

Money will come and go. There will be times that we have it and times we don’t. But we shouldn’t stress or worry about it, but we should trust in God. Knowing that He will help us through the bad times and the good…we are never alone. God is always there with us, watching over us, taking care of us. So if you’ve been stressing out in or thinking too much about your money, surrender it to God today. Put God in charge of your finances and of your life, and you won’t regret it!

  • Loving others

In the Law there are many commands, such as, “Be faithful in marriage. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not want what belongs to others.” But all of these are summed up in the command that says, “Love others as much as you love yourself.”

    Romans 13:9

I’m sure most of us don’t cheat, murder and steal. But loving other’s as much as we love ourself is much harder. It’s easy to SAY that we love other’s as much as we love ourself, but they can tell rather we truly mean it or not by our actions. If we act selfish and demand our own way all the time, it’s going to show everyone that we love ourself the most. But if we truly care about other’s and love them more than we love ourself, we’ll show that by our actions, but serving other’s by meeting other’s needs, by encouraging and helping other’s in any way that we can. Be selfless, instead of selfish. Truly love other’s as much as you love yourself.

  • He who brings out the starry host

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
           Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.

    Isaiah 40:26 (New International Version)

God created heaven and earth. And just like he calls each star out by name, God knows you by name and created you and has plans for you, a calling for you and his life. Maybe you aren’t sure what your calling is yet. That’s ok. Do whatever it is you do every day as undo the Lord. If you work, work as if the Lord is your boss. If you go to school, study as if the Lord is your teacher. If you stay home and clean the house or watch the kids, clean the house as if you’re cleaning the Lord’s house and watch after your kids as if you’re watching after God’s children. Do EVERYTHING you do as unto the Lord and it’s then that you’re true calling will be revealed and take place.

  • Idols

You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind.

    Exodus 20:4

Most of you probably imagine a gold statue when you hear the word Idol and you think, I don’t have an idol! But an idol doesn’t have to be a statue that you worship. An idol is anything or anyone that you love more than God. So take a step back and look at yourself and your life, what do you reflect? What or who do you spend the most time on? Do you love God the most, or is it a person, or a thing? If you struggle with putting God first in your life pray and ask God to help you put Him first, and also get an accountability partner that can hold you accountable to reading the bible every day and praying, because doing those things are an important part of staying close to God and keeping Him first. You have to spend time with God in order to stay close to Him and keep Him first.

  • Comforts

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

    2 Corinthians 1:4

It’s such a comfort to know that God is ALWAYS there to comfort us whenever we need Him, and that we can comfort others going through things and share that same comfort that God gave us! It let’s them see God’s love in us. So comfort someone today – show them God’s love.

  • All that we do…

We don’t have the right to claim that we have done anything on our own. God gives us what it takes to do all that we do.

2 Corinthians 3:5 (Contemporary English Version)

We haven’t done anything we’ve done on our own. God gives us what it takes to do EVERYTHING. Take a moment to thank God today, for blessing you with life itself, for blessing you with a chance to live here on the earth and to live for Him and serve Him. To do all that you do. The ability to work, to talk, to see, to hear. It all comes from God. Thank Him.

  • Strength & Peace

The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace.

    Psalm 29:11

Feeling weak? Or worried? God ALWAYS has strength and peace for us no matter how big our problem is. So if you’re feeling weak today, pray and ask the Lord to give you strength. Or if you worried, whatever you’re worried about PRAY. Give that worry to God and ask Him for help knowing He hears you and WILL help you. Ask Him for peace, and He will give you His peace that passes all understanding.

  • Run to Him

    Show your wonderful love.
       Your mighty arm protects those
       who run to you
       for safety
       from their enemies.

    Psalm 17:7

We all go through hard times in life. If you’re going through a hard time, run to Lord. And don’t run to him ONLY in times of trouble, but run to Him all of the time, through the good and the bad. The closer we get to God, the more time we spend with Him each day in the bible and prayer, then the closer we will be to Him in times of trouble. He ALWAYS shows us His unconditional love. He loves you more than you can even imagine. Run to Him today..and every day.

  • Citizens of heaven

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.

    Philippians 3:20-21

Ever felt out of place or like you don’t belong? It’s because you are a citizen of heaven, and will never be fully content or fit in completely till you’re at your true home. Earth is kind of just like the road trip on the way to heaven. And ever felt unsatisfied with your body? Well, it’s only your human body. One day when you leave this earth you’ll change into your glorious new body, no more sickness, aches or pain! So if you’ve been feeling discontent, with your body or surroundings, rejoice, in knowing that this is only temporary. We have an eternity of bliss ahead of us, so sit back and enjoy the road trip while still one earth, despite the many bumps and flat tires we may encounter along the way, the destination is well worth the journey.
