Drifting
Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.

Sometimes we drift away from God. Not intentionally, but sometimes we can get distracted just by our every day schedules that we place spending time with God on the back of the shelf, when He should be in first place. So if you’re feeling far away from God right now, pray and ask Him to turn you again to Him, to HELP YOU, to put Him FIRST in your life, and to nudge you and remind you to spend time with him every day to stay close to Him. The good thing is no matter how many times you have drifted away, God wilL ALWAYS accept you back with open arms. Turn to Him again today – He will welcome you with loving kindness.

I was just playing a song that goes along with this message. The chorus goes: And the only time, the only time I ever saw Him run is when He ran to me, took me in His arms, held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again,” looked at my face, wiped the tears from my eyes, and with forgiveness in His voice He said, “son, do you know I still love you?” It caught me by surprise and brought me to my knees when God ran.
It’s similar to the Prodigal Son message. It’s such a powerful song that speaks so much about God’s love.
