  • Help

We should help people whenever we can.

    Galatians 6:10

It’s such a blessing to help people in need. Because not only does it bless them, but it blesses God, and bless you. There are so many chances we are given every single day in which we could help someone. A family member, friend, coworker, classmate, stranger…One small simple step to help someone could make their day and mean more to them than you can even imagine. So ask yourself at the end of the day, who have I helped today? If you can’t think of anyone…it’s time to step up.

  • Peace

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

    Hebrews 12:14

Peace doesn’t come easily all of the time. Sometimes it takes work… Especially when it’s with someone that loves stirring up trouble or always trying to pick a fight. But if we work to keep the peace in those situations, it let’s people see God’s love in us. Because when we’re nice to people who aren’t nice us to us, who don’t deserve it, it really let’s them see God’s love in you because loves us in that same way, God loves us even though we don’t deserve it. So work for peace today, and you won’t regret it!

  • Truth & Lies

    Truth will last forever;
       lies are soon found out.

    Proverbs 12:19

Sometimes people make up excuses for lying, saying it’s only a little white lie or that they are lying for the good or to protect someone or not hurt them…but in the end, the truth always prevails….and the lie is going to hurt much more than the truth ever would. Sometimes the truth does hurt, but it’s going to hurt a lot more if it’s covered by a lie that eventually comes out. So the next time you’re tempted to lie, remember, as hard as it is to face the truth, when the lie is found out it’ll be much harder.

  • Drifting

Turn us again to yourself, O God of Heaven’s Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved.

    Psalm 80:7

Sometimes we drift away from God. Not intentionally, but sometimes we can get distracted just by our every day schedules that we place spending time with God on the back of the shelf, when He should be in first place. So if you’re feeling far away from God right now, pray and ask Him to turn you again to Him, to HELP YOU, to put Him FIRST in your life, and to nudge you and remind you to spend time with him every day to stay close to Him. The good thing is no matter how many times you have drifted away, God wilL ALWAYS accept you back with open arms. Turn to Him again today – He will welcome you with loving kindness.

  • Foolish ways

     I will listen to what God will say;
surely the LORD will declare peace
to His people, His godly ones,
and not let them go back to foolish ways.

    Psalm 85:8

Admit it. We’ve all done foolish things in the past…but the important thing is to learn by our mistakes and not repeat them. That little voice you hear in the back of your head telling you something is wrong – listen to it – that could be the holy spirit nudging you and telling you not to do something. And don’t try to make excuses. You KNOW when something is wrong or when you shouldn’t do something. Don’t be foolish – think about the consequences of your actions.

  • Bring out the best

Use your heads as you live and work among outsiders. Don’t miss a trick. Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.

    Colossians 4:6

If everyone’s goal in a conversation was to bring out the best in someone, encourage, inspire, motivate, help them, if we focused on other’s in our conversation instead of ourself, that would make such a good difference! Don’t put people down or jokingly insult them…jokes can hurt more then you think. Try to speak encouragingly, and you will build that person up instead of taring them down.

  • Be patient and trust the LORD.

Be patient and trust the LORD.

    Psalm 37:7

Patience is not something that comes easily for a lot of people. We want to make something happen right at the time that we want it. But God’s timing is so much better than our own timing…so if you’ve been praying about something for a long time and it hasn’t happened yet, don’t give up…keep on praying, trusting in God and knowing that He has a plan and His timing is the best!

  • Shine

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

    Matthew 5:14-16

This passage reminds me of the Newsboys song “Shine, make em wonder whatcha got, make em wish that they were not, on the outside lookin bored”…We can truly be a good witness to other’s and let them see God in us by our actions. Show God’s love to people. Love people with an unconditional love, love people when they don’t deserve to be loved…ESPECIALLY then. Love people with out expecting anything in return. Then they will see God’s love in you! SHINE.

  • Treasure the word

I worship you with all my heart. Don’t let me walk away from your commands. I treasure your word above all else; it keeps me from sinning against you.

    Psalm 119:10-11

The bible is like a treasure, it’s like a map left to us by God on how to live our life. It gives us wisdom, direction, helps teach us what is right and what’s wrong. Reading the bible is such an important part of our walk with the Lord. If you’ve been feeling far away from God, spend more time in the bible and in prayer, and it’s then you’ll grow closer to Him and gain more wisdom about what’s right and wrong in your life.

  • Forever

    The LORD is good!
       His love and faithfulness
       will last forever.

    Psalm 100:5

It’s such a comfort to know that God’s love for us is unfailing. He is never going to stop loving us. His love is unconditional – it isn’t based on anything we have or haven’t done – He loves us simply because He chooses to. And He is faithful to us. Even when we haven’t been faithful to Him, He always welcomes us back to Him with open, loving arms. Maybe you have drifted away from Him, and you think He’s mad at you. He’s not mad at you, He just wants you back…HE ALWAYS WANTS YOU. FOREVER.
