  • Prayers

I'm tired of all this—so tired. My bed
has been floating forty days and nights
On the flood of my tears.
My mattress is soaked, soggy with tears.

8-9 Get out of here, you Devil's crew:
at last God has heard my sobs.
My requests have all been granted,
          my prayers are answered.

    Psalm 6:6-9 (The Message)

Maybe you have been going through a time of sobbing right now, a hard time, a time you've been crying out to the Lord. Don't give up, keep on crying out to God, knowing that He DOES hear you, and He WILL help you through whatever kind of trial you're going through. You are not alone, and never will be. God will always be there for you every day that you live hear on the earth. So keep praying...He hears you.

  • Wisdom, instruction and understanding.

Get wisdom and instruction and understanding.

    Proverbs 23.23

You can never learn all there is to learn. We should constantly try and gain more wisdom, knowledge and understand...in every area of our life, but ESPECIALLY in our walks with the Lord. We should constantly study His word and go to church where we can learn more from other's who have more wisdom and knowledge. Get in a small group bible study and sunday school class as well. We should always place ourselves in places where we can grow in wisdom and knowledge and understanding in our walks with God.

  • The Lord protects

    The LORD protects everyone
       who follows him. Psalm 1:6

It's such a comfort to know God is always watching over us, protecting us...you are never alone. So if you ever feel alone, or afraid, or worried, remember, you're not alone. God is there, watching over and protecting you. He will never leave you or stop watching over you or stop loving you. He loves you with an unconditional love. Which means He's ALWAYS going to love you, watch over you, and protect you.

  • Inner beauty

You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

    1 Peter 3:4

Most people spend SO much time thinking about and trying to make ourself look better on the outside that we forget about trying to become better on the INSIDE, too. We look at our outward appearance and point out the areas we want to change or make better, but how often do you look at the inside of yourself and think of the ways that you need to become better on the inside? Personality traits or bad attitudes or ways of thinking or actions that you need to work on. Those are the things that matter to God - God doesn't care when you last got your hair cut He cares about what you look like on the inside.

  • Remain in fellowship

And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.

    1 John 2:28

It's so important for us to remain in fellowship with Christ. To spend time with Him daily...in the bible, in prayer, in worship, in stillness before Him. Quiet time with the Lord is such an import part of our relationship with Him. In order to stay close to a person you have to spend time with that person. It's the same way with God - in order to stay close to God you have to spend time with Him and keep spending time with Him every day and you will grow closer and closer to Him.

  • Put God in charge

Put God in charge of your work,
then what you've planned will take place.

    Proverbs 16:3

Put God in charge of every area of your life...of you! Surrender to Him and give Him everything, trusting in Him and knowing that He has a plan for you that is far better than any plan you can come up with. And some people don't pray about the little things because they think it's too small that God won't care about something so little...but He DOES care, God cares about every detail of your life, even the small ones. So put Him in charge - and see what happens.

  • Help

You shouldn't just say, "I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat."

What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help? James 2:16

We should all try our best to help those that we see in need. Not to just simply tell them we wish the best for them or hope things get better or we'll pray for them but to actually help them and do what we can do ourselves for them. Praying makes a difference but sometimes we ourself are the answer to someone's prayer.

  • Don't fuss

If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

    Matthew 6:25

Most people spend far too much time fussing over what to wear or what to eat...worrying, even. Don't fuss, don't worry - God takes care of the birds and He'll take care of you and provide for you even more so than he does for the birds. So the next time you see a bird be reminded, be free, don't fuss, God is there watching over you, just as He watches over the birds.

  • God's critic

“Do you still want to argue with the Almighty?
You are God’s critic, but do you have the answers?” Job 40:2

So often people argue with God, getting upset when things don't turn out the way that they want. Questioning God. Criticizing, even. Saying, God, why did you let things happen this way when I wanted them to go the other way? But the thing is, we don't have all the answers. God does. We can't see the end result - God can. God knows better in EVERY situation then we do. What gives us the right to think we know better than God? We could NEVER do things better than God. So if something you've planned didn't turn out - rejoice, in knowing that God's plans are WAY better then your own!

  • For all who are mistreated, the Lord brings justice.

    For all who are mistreated,
       the LORD brings justice.

    Psalm 103:6

Some people ask why does God let bad things happen. God doesn't want bad things to happen anymore then we do - but he has given us free will which in return can allow bad things to happen or sometimes satan causes bad things to happen. But for those who are mistreated, the Lord WILL bring justice.
