  • Unconditional love

”A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. The Lord loves us unconditionally, we should strive to love each other that way too.”

    John 13:34

God loves us despite our many flaws. God loves us even though we’re undeserving of His love. His love isn’t based on our actions, isn’t based on anything we’ve done. He loves us simply because He chooses to. We should love people in that same way, we should CHOOSE to love them, even when they are the most unlovable and undeserving, because that’s when people need love the most…and when we love people then, when they don’t deserve it, it let’s them see God’s love through us. So today, show God’s love to someone, love someone who is the most difficult to love.

  • Words and thoughts

Let my words and my thoughts
       be pleasing to you, LORD,
because you are my mighty rock and my protector.

    Psalm 19:14

This is something it’d be good for us to pray daily. God knows every thought that we think, every word that we speak even before we speak it. And of course we are human and will have some thoughts that aren’t so good but when they happens we should pray and ask the Lord to help us get our thoughts back on the right track. Because where our thoughts go, our words and actions can follow.

  • Made right with God

For Christ has accomplished the whole purpose of the law. All who believe in him are made right with God.

    Romans 10:4

You aren’t perfect. No human is. We’ve all sinned. We’ve all made mistakes. And we’ve all been made right with God through Jesus dying for our sins. He took the blame for every sin. He paid the debt, so that we could be forgiven, so that we could be made right with God. Some people have a hard time accepting that they’ve been made right though…they say, but I’m not worthy, if you only knew my sins…well guess what…none of us are worthy, because we’ve all sinned… but Jesus MADE US WORTHY! He made us right with God.

  • Our Purpose

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.

    1 Thessalonians 2:4

Our purpose is to please God, not people. Sometimes we get that backwards, putting pleasing people above God. We should never put anyone above God. God should always come first and we should live to please Him, not ourself or any person. God is our purpose. The reason we are here is Him. It’s all about Him. Our lives are about Him. We exist for Him. Don’t forget that. HE is our purpose.

  • Broken promises

It’s better not to make a promise at all than to make one and not keep it.

    Ecclesiastes 5.5

We should never agree to things that we know we will not follow through with. Sometimes we say yes to something because we don’t want to let someone down, but it’ll only let them down even more if we say yes and then don’t keep our promise. So the next time someone asks you to commit to something, think hard about your answer before you give it, and only say yes to what you know you will do.

  • Press on to know Him

Oh, that we might know the Lord!
Let us press on to know him.
He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn
or the coming of rains in early spring.

    Hosea 6:3

Do you try to get to know God more, or are you content with where you are in your relationship with Him? I think we should never be content with where we are with Him, we should always press on to know Him more. To become closer to Him. And just like if you were trying to get to know a person better you would spend more time with them, it’s the same with God…to know Him more, spend more time with Him. Strive to know Him more every day that you live on the other, for you can never be too close to God, you can always get closer. Press on.

  • Joy

Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love,
so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

    Psalm 90:14

Only in God can we be truly satisfied and find true joy. If we try to satisfy ourself with anything of the world we’re left feeling unsatisfied, we’re left feeling frustrated and a lack of joy. But in the Lord, is where we find that joy, and that satisfaction that we’ve been longing for. So if you’re feeling empty, or if you feel like joy is missing in your life, spend more time with God. In His word, the bible. In prayer. In quiet time with Him EVERY DAY. It’s there, you will be satisfied and have joy.

  • Never stop praying

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

    1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Sometimes we pray about something for a long time and don’t see any results. DON’T GIVE UP. Keep on praying. Be thankful. Knowing that God’s will for you is good. THE BEST. Better than anything you could ever even think of. So trust in Him, even if things don’t turn out the way that you pray for or want or plan, keep on praying and trusting in the Lord and have joy in God in knowing that He has good plans for you, so be thankful!

  • Under trial

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he
has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has
promised to those who love him.

    James 1:12

Sometimes we will go through trials in our life. Hard times. Times when we don’t know what to do or what’s ahead of us. But whenever you’re in a time like that, remember that God is with you…you never have to go through anything alone. Trust in God, knowing that even though you can’t see the outcome of the problems you are faced with, God can, and He will help you through it.

  • Give generously

Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this
the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your
    hand to. Deuteronomy 15:10

When we give generously, without a grudge, not only does it bless those we give to but it blesses God, who in return blesses us. It’s like a blessing cycle, but you have to keep the cycle going. We can’t just take take take and expect to be blessed. We need to step up and give, too. And give with out even expecting anything in return, and then you truly will be blessed!
