  • Understand this...

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

    James 1.19

Sometimes when people angry they do the opposite of what these verse are telling us to do. They are quit to get angry, quick to speak and don't listen at all. When we should be doing what these verses say. LISTEN. Hold your toungue. Keep anger in check and don't let angry control you. Control your anger. Don't sin by letting anger control you.

  • You will find him

From there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.

    Deuteronomy 4:29

God isn't hiding from you. He WANTS you to find Him. To seek Him, to spend time with Him, today and every day! When you search for Him you WILL find Him. And if you feel like you're far away from Him, spend MORE time with Him. The more time you spend with God, in the bible, in prayer, in quiet time with Him, the closer you will grow to Him and the less far away He will seem. Search for Him. You WILL find Him.

  • Don't be bossy, set an example.

Don't be bossy to those people who are in your care, but set an example for them.

    1 Peter 5:3

It's much better to set an example for other's by how you live, rather than being bossy and telling them what to do. When you're bossy, it's most likely only going to cause them to do the exact opposite of what you tell them. But if you show them instead by setting an example by how you live, not saying anything but just living for God, it'll have a far better effect on them then being bossy ever would.

  • Trouble

When I am in trouble, I pray,
       knowing you will listen.

    Psalm 86:7

Notice it says "When" I am in trouble, not "If". We will all eventually go through times of trouble and be faced with different problems in life. It's part of living here on the earth, we have to go through the bad times along with the good. So the next time you're in any kind of trouble, PRAY. Knowing God is ALWAYS listening, and He WILL help you no matter what kind of trouble you are in.

  • No more pain

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

    Revelation 21:4

Even if every day that we live here on the earth was horrible, that would not compare to the eternity of blissful days we'll experience in heaven. So don't let the bad days get you down. The bad days help you appreciate the good days, which we will have plenty of here on the earth as well...but remember, we do have an ETERNITY of happy days ahead of us in heaven. So the next time you have a bad day...remember that. Eternal happy days are ahead!

  • God alone is judge

God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

    James 4:12

We should never judge anyone else. No one is perfect, we all have our flaws and we all have sinned, we've all made mistakes. So the next time you seem someone making a mistake, instead of judging them, pray for them. Set an example for them by how you live instead of condemning them or judging them, love them, pray for them and be a good example for them. Forgive them...as God has forgiven you.

  • We should not live to please ourselves

We who have strong faith should help those who are weak. We should not live to please ourselves.

    Romans 15:1

Our purpose isn't to live to please ourselves. Our purpose is to live to please God, to do everything we do for Him. And helping people is one of the ways that we can please God. Find a way to serve other's. Help other's. Not only will it bless those that you are helping but it will bless God and bless you, too.

  • For the Lord

Celebrate and sing! Play your harps for the LORD our God. He fills the sky with clouds and sends rain to the earth, so that the hills will be green with grass.

    Psalm 147:7-8

Every day we have reason to celebrate and sing praise to God. He has blessed us with so much more than we can even imagine...the greatest gift of all being our salvation through Jesus dying on the cross for our sins so that we can spend eternity with Him in heaven. So every day, celebrate! Every day, sing praise! Every day, play your instruments for God..or if you don't play an instrument or sing, do whatever it is that you can do, encourage someone, share the good news with them, praise the Lord every day, for He has given us reason to celebrate!

  • Always there

If I flew away beyond the east or lived in the farthest place in the west, You would be there to lead me, You would be there to help me.

    Psalm 139:9-19

No matter who you are or where you've been, where you are going, or where you are right now...God loves you. And God is going to be there for you...today, and every day. Wherever you go, He is there, and will help you. You never have to do anything alone. Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything, knowing God is there to help you and that you never have to do things alone. So the next time you feel alone or like you're faced with a problem too difficult, remember, God is there, ALWAYS THERE, to help.

  • Plans

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's
    purpose that prevails.

    Proverbs 19:21

We all make a lot of plans for ourself. But things don't always turn out the way that we plan. And when that happens, instead of being frustrated, we should rejoice. Because God has WAY better plans for us than we can even imagine! So trust in God when your plans don't work out, knowing that God will work things out much better than we ever could!
